WAYS TO USE ESSENTIAL OIL
- Bath & Shower: Add 5-10 drops to hot bath water, or sprinkle into shower steam before getting in for an at-home spa experience.
- Massage: 8-10 drops of essential oil per 1 ounce of carrier oil. Apply a small amount directly to areas of concern, such as muscles, skin, or joints. Work the oil gently into the skin until it is fully absorbed.
- Inhalation: Inhale the aromatic vapors directly from the bottle, or place a few drops in a burner or diffuser to fill a room with its scent.
- Allergies: Blend 1 drop of myrtle essential oil into 1 teaspoon of carrier oil. Use a cotton swab or your finger to apply the blend to the outer edges of your nostrils at night before you go to bed and when you get up in the morning. If necessary, you can apply it again mid-day.
- sinus infections: Enjoy 30 to 60 minutes of myrtle essential oil aromatherapy several times a day . Its natural analgesic properties will give you relief from sinus pain.
- Get Relief from Laryngitis and Sore Throat: To alleviate laryngitis, sore throats and sinus drainage, add 1 drop of myrtle essential oil to 8 ounces of tepid water and gargle with it several times a day. Applying the 1% myrtle oil/carrier oil blend to the throat and chest can also relieve throat irritation.
- Alleviate Fatigue: Practice myrtle essential oil aromatherapy to alleviate fatigue and put a little pep in your step. If you begin to feel run down in the middle of the afternoon at the office and can’t run your diffuser, simply take a few inhales directly from the essential oil bottle.
