Neem Seed Oil Cold Pressed – 500 ml – Karooch

Neem Seed oil, the seemingly all-powerful substance made from the seeds of the neem tree… Skin-Care and Insect Repellent. Neem oil contains fatty acids, antioxidants, and antimicrobial compounds, and these can benefit the skin in a range of ways.

Neem has a therapeutic range encompassing antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antiparasitic activities.

As an insecticide Neem kills small soft-bodied insects like Aphids, Mealybugs, Mites, Thrips and Whiteflies on contact. Spraying Neem Oil as a knockdown followed by releases of generalist beneficial insects, like Green Lacewing, is a good way to minimize pest populations that are already present in the growing area.

Neem Oil is effective as a preventive fungicide. Its chief virtue is an active ingredient called azadirachtin, which halts the life cycle of pests, so they eventually die ( although it may take a number of days for this to happen ) Neem oil also suppresses insects appetites, so they stop feeding on plants. Effective on aphids, cutworms, fungus gnats, leaf miners, and thrips, it appears to have no effect on beneficial insects, such as ladybugs and spiders. It is best to buy Neem oil and mix it yourself with an emulsifying agent like a mild dish soap.

1 teaspoon (5ml) of neem oil. ⅓ tsp (1-2ml) of mild liquid soap, insecticidal soap or another mild detergent. Mix water and soap in a closed bottle and shake well so the soap is fully dissolved. Spray on plants as needed.
