How to Use Thyme Essential Oil
- For immune support and the promotion of muscular and joint health, mix one drop thyme with a few drops of lavender and chamomile in a carrier oil. Massage into skin as needed.
- Blend 2 drops thyme oil in a carrier oil and massage into lower abdomen to support the urinary system. A castor oil pack can enhance the effect.
- One drop in warm bathwater mixed with 4 drops of roman chamomile oil can be soothing to all systems and can aid in boosting immune function.
- Steam inhale or diffuse a few drops of thyme oil mixed with pine oil, spruce oil, rosemary oil and eucalyptus oil to help with respiratory health and decongestion.
- Thyme oil should never be used undiluted on the skin. It can be applied topically at very low dilutions of 1% or less or used in a blend as a compress.
- It may also be used in direct inhalation or diffused.
